    1. 17-03-07 London TV-Show, Mars

      by , 03-07-2017 at 09:24 PM
This entire dream played out as a TV show. I was the dreamer 'dreaming up' the scenario, but I also controlled one of the characters within the story.

One building in London was central to much of the plot: a futuristic (and massive) trapezoid building, almost entirely made of glass. The windows themselves were triangular in shape. It was called the London Naval Shipyard Headquarters. Or something similar. I saw NYC in one scene, but noticed the old World Trade Center was still there, meaning I was in the past, pre-2001. Then I was in a car, in one of the back passenger seats, driving through London. The sun was bright red. The person next to me in the car, said this was due to "red-shifting" - due to the dimensional/time-traveling we were doing. I arrived at the location where the large building mentioned earlier was supposed to be, but instead there was only an empty plot of land - telling me I was still in the past, and it hadn't been built yet.

The show had less than 10 episodes total. It had many characters, and each episode had different characters in it. I think the character I played, was the only one that featured in all of them, so kind of the 'main' character. It was all quite tragic, though I can't recall any details. The main character experiences several disconnected events (each self-contained story was an episode) that were still all connected in some way; but in a way not obvious to the characters themselves - only to the viewer/dreamer. In the end, the events of all the episodes ended in the main character being held at gunpoint by a man, a man I knew (as dreamer) to be a good guy), who mistakenly thought the main character had killed someone, or did something terrible. I (as character) was forced to me knees, and I heard him say "don't fucking move", but I heard pain in his voice. Maybe he thought I killed someone dear to him? Either way, the event he blamed on me actually happened in a previous episode, and was done by a completely different character.

The whole dream had an amazing soundtrack, but especially the main theme at the end of the last episode was beyond awesome. It sounded mysterious, like the soundtrack of Half-Life: Decay, but with a very sad violin at the end, reflecting the tragic nature of the story.

      -

Second dream. Someone (a rather attractive blonde woman in her late 20's) had bought our old house from my dad. There was a massive 'basement' below the house, which I'd never noticed in the years living there. The basement was large, clean and very well-lit. In fact, it didn't look like a basement at all. It was made into a kind of museum, where books and other stuff owned by the woman were put on display. I had a look at the books, and eventually left.

I found myself on the surface of Mars. The 'air' was breathable, and the temperature non-existent (I can't feel temperature in dreams). Along with a group of other 'visitors', we walked past several large buildings, looking for a place called the "Moon Dome" (inspired by the Moon Dome from Wolfenstein: The New Order?). We walk the Martian surface, until we find a mountain 'bowl' - a place completely surrounded by (not very high) mountains on all sides (except on one side, we came from a flat plain). I saw some kind of monument in the distant, up against the mountains. I started running in that direction, and noticed the ground was on a downward slope. I started floating because of this, and quickly learned to change that into flight. It was easier than usual, thanks to Mars' low gravity. From the air, I see a child (a little girl) falling behind from the rest of the group. I dive down, land, and help her get back to her parents.

At some point, some guy said something that pissed off Alex Moore, a guy I know in real life. Alex got really pissed and started chasing him as he fled, along a rainy street at night (clearly on Earth now). The guy had to stop to unlock a door, which is when Alex caught him. I can't recall what happened next.
    2. Swim

      4/22/13 -Same dream, varied ending-

I'm in the middle of NY, it's evacuated. Tons of trash rustles about in the wind. I turn around to see what's going on. The sun it bright and blinding, I'm surrounded by abandoned parking garages.

Out of nowhere water begins to rise. The first time I had this dream, I died instantly from drowning. The second time I had this dream, I remembered to swim up and survived.

Now the water recedes and the streets are even filthier than before, debris piled high and I feel hot (temperature).

    3. Lost in America

This was the second of my galantamine dreams from last night. The beginning and middle were fun. The end? Not too good.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #47: Lost in America

The wind is loud outside but the noise suddenly settles into a murmur. I know that I'm close to a WILD, and soon... I'm in a light rail station, holding hands with my son E. The floor is red brick and the sky above us is clear. Tall buildings surround us on all sides. I don't recognize the buildings, but for some reason I believe that this is New York.

I tell E, "Well, buddy, we're in New York. This is... well, this isn't real, but it's a train station." He hops around, pointing gleefully at the train. I walk with him to the opposite end of the station.

The train starts to move, and E suddenly breaks away from my grip and runs toward it! I'm panicked at the site of him running carelessly toward that train and I run after him. He stops short of actual danger and I grab onto his hand, making sure I've got a good grip this time. "E, you can't do things like that! If you're going to run off, we can't be here."

I take him with me out to a parking lot and our family car is waiting there.
There's a small memory gap here, but I'm pretty sure that the car didn't have child seats, but I just ignored this. We're driving in the neighborhood where I grew up. E is there at first but after a few blocks I look back and he's gone.

I pass a set of kids that look like they're fighting. I can't tell what's going on but it looks like someone might be taking a beating. I jump out of the car, forgetting that it's still moving. To my dismay, the car keeps going, turns the corner by itself and drives out of sight. The kids disperse, and nobody seems upset anymore.
There's another memory gap before I find myself being shown a house by a real estate agent who looks kind of like CSI's Marg Helgenberger. She calls herself "Madge" and the house has a beautiful, open interior. I'm impressed with the place and wonder if it's similar to any other houses I've seen IWL.

When she takes me into the back of the house, though, things take a horrible turn. The rooms in the back are dark and smoky with makeshift drapes blocking out the sunlight. Drug addicts are passed out all around the place, laying on beds, floors and furniture. Some of them twitch occasionally and I see one man whose leg is streaked with blood. Madge seems mildly embarrassed and says, "It does need a little fixing up."

When we get to the bathroom, I see a clearly dead man lying in the tub. I panic,
probably lose lucidity, and run back down the hall. Madge is running too, but the hallways have all changed. I can't find my way back to the sane part of the house and my panic collapses the dream.
    4. Super powers, Heroes, New York, and Killgore

      by , 11-06-2012 at 01:54 AM
Turns out that last one was technically a pseudo-lucid dream.

I'm in new york surrounded by super heroes. The government wants them, and they're hunted. They have a meeting, and decide that the boy has to evacuate. what boy?, I try to say, but I don't physically exist somehow. They bring out a boy, who is hovering 12 feet in the air. He flees the city by drilling through the ground, going all the way around the world to the other side of NY. why didn't he just cross the city?. He hears me somehow, and flys away. suddenly i'm standing in the road, watching him. I know i have to follow, I don't know why, but the feeling is overwhelming. I'm lucid! I want to fly but I can't. I remember a post from someone on the forum, saying to use the remote from Click or something like that. I pull it out of my pocket and use it like thor's hammer to fly. Man, that part was awesome!!! I never did catch the boy, but heck, I had a friggen lucid dream!!!!
    5. Quick Entry #2

      by , 08-01-2012 at 10:25 PM (The D-Log)
So I haven't been keeping a dream journal all month. Mostly because I mainly wanted to use this site but my internet connection was being unreliable. Luckily I can remember a few cool dreams.

      July 25th

Mostly non-lucid. Had a very severe nightmare. A terrifying beast with long dirty hair and dead eyes was tormenting. Could talk. Had a horrible woman's voice. Would not let me wake up. Multiple false awakenings. Was in weird sleep paralysis state.

      July 27th

Completely non-lucid. Had a dream involving Osezo, Setaron, a girl I had just met that day that we'll call Ace and several of Osezo's friends that I only barely know. At first, we were all in an odd circular house. Just hanging out. Then Ace and I were wondering in a city that resembled New York City. We found a building with a huge door. Had a big colorful neon sign. We went in and then were selling a bunch of Japanese food products. Ace said that Osezo and Setaron were trying to find us and that we should hide from them. We went out the back and were in this chain-link fenced area.We went under the fence and were out in a road. Ace had disappeared. I walked on the street a little and found a blood splatter. The dream then had a very "noir" vibe. Woke up shortly after this.

      July 28th

Non-lucid. Somehow Batman related. Remember running across rooftops and fighting people. Very excited feeling dream.
    6. NYC, Corset Wrestling

by , 05-01-2012 at 11:35 PM (Sea of the Unconscious)
      NYC:
I took a train to NYC by myself and was wandering around. I sat down on a bench and set down my two books, then realized that I was lost. I did not bring a map of New York, nor did I remember which route I took from the train station. Somehow I managed to get home. I remember something about a car. I realized that I had forgotten my books in NY, but didn’t care to go back to retrieve them. My grandmother was at my house when I arrived, and she cooked me a meal. She offered to give me money, but I declined her offer. My sisters came home after I ate.

      Corset Wrestling:
The next dream I was wandering around a mall, and a man came up to me and asked me to take his place in a competition. I agreed, and was given a corset, stockings, and high heels to wear. No wonder he didn’t want to compete. I changed into the outfit, and my chest changed to fit better into the corset. I looked at my chest in the corset and thought it looked different from usual. I promptly forgot about my new breasts. The corset cups were a few sizes too small for my new breasts, so my nipples would pop out if I moved a lot. The strings used to tie the corset went from my left thigh up to the center of my left breast. Since I had to move a lot, the strings would become loose. When the corset was loose, my left nipple would pop out between the strings. I had to regularly tighten my corset and tuck away my nipples.

I walked out to the wrestling ring. I was wrestling against a man in a t-shirt and jeans, while I was in heels and had a spinal fusion to boot. The objective was to push our opponent out of the ring each round. I tried to convince my opponent and the person judging the match that I was actually a guy, but naturally no one believed me with my breasts bursting out of my corset.

Our match began, and I lost the first round magnificently. The next two rounds I became much more aggressive though. I punched, tackled, and elbowed my way to victory. My reward for winning was $100 for each second that my opponent and I fought. I didn’t know how many seconds that was, but I asked where I could claim my winnings. The wrestling organization refused to give the money to me, and told me to wait for the check in the mail. I remembered fighting in this competition before and never receiving any money, but I had also lost in the previous match.

This dream felt very familiar, so I wonder if this was a sequel to a dream I had years ago. That happens to me occasionally, but not very often. I can’t remember when I had the first dream though, so I think that the first competition was just a false memory in the dream, rather than a dream I had in the past.

I had a few dream fragments too. I was watching Game of Thrones with my fianceé and sibling. Then another fragment with an ill-fitting bathing suit.
    7. Senior Ball Spoof/CPR/Flying on a Wolf's Back!

      by , 06-04-2011 at 08:04 PM
The first dream was in like Tim Burton's rendition of Gotham City, but my mind told me it was New York.

Our class decided to have our Senior Ball there. I recall standing on various street corners and watching my classmates walk by. They saw me and acknowledged me. I was comparatively under-dressed. I followed them into the building where the event was taking place. The inside looked like a bookstore.

      Weird.
And the other people from my class were no longer in immediate view. For some reason, I was holding two dirty incense burners. I also had to explain them to Mrs. H who was apparently screening students at the door who were high or carrying drugs or anything like that. Together, we cleaned the burners off into a garbage can.

My next dream took place in a Tops grocery store and I guess I was supposed to Test out for CPR in a lifelike situation or something.

Inside, I met that new girl, Courtney. She was the one testing me, and she actually played the part of the dummy for scene-checking phase. For the rescue breaths, she brought out a very strange contraption that you put your mouth around and it's designed to make the process more difficult. I finished up with that and walked outside. I drove my truck across the street and felt like I was being followed so I circled this building in it's parking lot once to lose any creepers. I went back to the Tops parking lot and parked but then Mike pulled up before I could finish parking so I bumped into his truck ever so lightly.

In my next dream, I was somewhere outside a neighboring town and I don't remember how it started, but I do remember flying up out of the woods near the west branch of the lake.

It was nice because the shores were just forest and it seemed untainted by populace. But wait a second...I'M FLYING ON THE BACK OF A HUGE WHITE WOLF!

It was so vivid. First time I've ever flown in a dream. I seemed to have some difficulty keeping the wolf aloft, however. As I looked at the water, I could see the rocks on the bottom. I think it was unusually shallow because my mind wanted it to be. I don't like deep water. I came down gently on the east shore and walked into the woods. My wolf then shrank to pocket size! I carried him. Then in the woods, I encountered another white wolf, this one with a pink spot on his back. He was vicious, so I desperately tried to make my wolf fly so that I could flee. We flew up and over this suburban neighborhood. There were red-brown houses with nice courtyards and enclosed patios. One family saw me and started to freak out. I landed next to my own family in this strange suburbia. I wanted to protect my wolf. The family that had freaked out showed up. They claimed that my wolf was their dog. Yah, bullcrap. I believe I woke up before anything bad could happen. But the whole flying experience was just amazing.
    8. What Happened New York City!?

      by , 06-08-2010 at 09:49 PM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
      Black = AwakeBlue = LucidRed = Dream

      Location: NYC (future?)

(I preform in our local jazz band. I play trumpet and our conductor is named Mr. DemauroMe and our jazz band were playing in what i believe must be future New York City. (I say future because there were waterfalls around the statue of liberty, which were held back by dams, and were apparently cause by some global flooding) We start out by playing a song and there is only me, another trombone player, and 2 sax players. Where the others were, i had no idea.

We finished playing a song and like 5 people that were listening started clapping. We then appeared on top of a dam for some reason with water flowing underneath it. Mr. D (Short for demauro) asked me that, when i go back in time, to throw him a birthday party.
(turns out his birthday is actually in 3 days ) A Door behind us then flies open and we try to put some of those little rubber stoppers in it so it wouldn't close. It was once we did this that I woke up.

    9. War of the Serpents (with sheet music)

      by , 09-11-1979 at 03:11 PM
Morning of September 11, 1969. Thursday.

My dream starts with an atypical unseen narrator who says, without emotion: “New York Harbor 1969. The city is a mess”.

I am flying over Manhattan in the first scene. I am semi-lucid and vividly aware of curious saxophone and xylophone music (never heard in real life); a series of repeated staccato notes. My sheet music image (only available on some websites with this entry) is close to what I heard in my dream. There is a later version where the third set of eighth notes in each motif is removed, giving a sense of anticipation.

On websites where the image is not available, the eighth notes (except for the last C, a quarter note) are: C C C C, C D C D, C D C D, E E E E, E F E F, E F E F, G G G G, G A G A, G A G A, A G G F, F E E D, C. The tempo is about 84 at first, though is accelerando. The music becomes a bit more intense yet with a less audible orchestral sound in the background, as if the volume is turned down though later up again. (This effect has happened in other dreams, usually when the level of dream state awareness changes, as sometimes the closer I am to waking, the less number of instruments are heard.)

Looking directly down as I fly, I watch a giant snake swim through the water, moving along on the water’s surface. (As such, my dream’s foundation is the most common form; water induction, as water symbolizes sleep dynamics in real time.) The snake is so large that it knocks aside boats (mostly tugboats) as it moves. However, there is also a brief awareness that the snake is of normal size and the debris is more like small pieces of bark, leaves, and twigs as I seemingly watch the “same” scene much closer to the water’s surface (as if of a small lake) before the implication changes again. At this point I also get the distinct impression that I am standing or hovering in my orb form (while incorporeal) to the left of the doorway in the southwest bedroom (not where I slept) at the same time I am dreaming this (with a vague association with having looked into our full bathtub and toilet while somehow sleepwalking, though I had not been). This bilocated impression (typical of a lot of my childhood dreams) does not continue. Helicopters fly over the Statue of Liberty and there is more news about the attack on Manhattan as apparently giant snakes came from a crashed flying saucer (as if perhaps manlike aliens, though unseen, and possibly from two different planets, lost control of their spacecraft for an unknown reason). There are two kinds of giant snakes that fight each other. One kind seems friendlier to humans. I watch a lot of the monster-movie-like battles though my dream eventually shifts to my home in Cubitis, and my previous lucid threads fade.

I am chasing a baby giant snake (which is my height in its upright “S” form) in a southerly direction, from the end of our driveway, near Highway Seventeen, and moving past the west side of our large culvert. The snake is the recurring Pepto Bismol pink that was fairly common in my dreams around this time period (after my mother had me drink it in real life). It is somehow quickly slithering upright like a standing (vertical) letter S and moving much like a swan. I am fearlessly chasing it, to make it leave the area so that bigger snakes do not eventually come by to investigate. Suddenly, when I get past the neighbor’s house a short distance, the snake looks “confused” (and I get the impression of an actual question mark floating in the air over its head very briefly, a curious feature of other childhood dreams, likely influenced by comic strips) and it turns around to start chasing me. I raise my arms up and out as I am now running away, but as if the scene is meant to be comedic or playful.

This continues for a short time when suddenly, the snake and I are very good friends. We are now at the end of the driveway, where I first found myself chasing it. I am holding the large snake in my arms like a baby, which is eventually even wearing an old-fashioned pale blue baby bonnet and held within a white baby blanket and is now going to sleep.

I am aware that the War of the Serpents will continue, possibly to the point where a lot more regions will be damaged. My parents do not appear at any point, and in fact, I do not interact with anyone I know in real life. Later, I am calm in the presence of a few giant black snakes (though my dream fades when I start flying again). This likely relates to the fact that black snakes were considered good due to a reputation where I lived of them supposedly chasing off rattlesnakes, which seems the main origin of my dream’s otherwise science-fiction theme.

This dream has two discernible attempts at subliminal reinduction (a non-lucid attempt to vivify or extend the dream state, though I am semi-lucid when my dream begins). Firstly, my dream begins with typical water induction (my most common form of dream state initiation). A snake is the primary (biological) reticular activating system symbol (RAS mechanism), due to having evolved out of the natural fear that primates have of snakes, and thus RAS renders it as the potential waking trigger (in generating enough emotion as an “alert” for the purpose of waking the dreamer to attend to real physical needs), though a snake will sometimes relate to different factors (sometimes literal) and symbolism depending on the dream type, which only the dreamer could understand the origin and validation of in any case.

My first attempt at reinduction (even though I am still in the water as sleep initiation stage, though already with the snake as a potential RAS factor) is evidenced by the music having a similar essence as snake-charming music, to delay RAS waking dynamics. The second attempt is far more obvious and easier to validate. I succeed in harmoniously putting the snake to sleep (which represents willfully though subliminally decreasing RAS dynamics that might otherwise wake me up) at the end of the driveway, which symbolizes the subliminal awareness of eventually needing to wake up and stand at the end of my driveway to wait for the school bus. Dreams are very easy to understand once ignorant superstition and “interpretation” is cast aside in the acknowledgement of what dreams actually are. It should be emphasized that this dream began with conscious choice of first deliberately “stepping into” (and then flying within) my dream’s water-based environment (as I have done thousands of times since childhood and for over fifty years), which is also why the bilocated essence regarding another bedroom (obvious dream state indicator) in our house came into focus. (It should also be obvious that the baby snake additionally symbolizes a mild stomach ache, and the RAS “taming” of it for a few reasons; one, actually being the color of stomach ache medicine, two, being shaped like a human intestine, and three, stomach pain associated with a snake that squeezes its prey.)
